Triple Isis: Mother Goddess of Birth, Life, and Death. This energetic North African trio is perhaps the oldest example of the trinitarian ancient goddess. Cat Goddess Bast is her lunar/fertility aspect, holding an ankh (a tantric life-force symbol) in her left hand and a sacred poppy in her right. With her sun-disc/horned-crescent crown, Isis Queen of Heaven & Earth represents the Mother Goddess aspect. She is the prototype of the "mother of god" later adopted by Christian tradition. Sekmet, the ravaging lioness, with her burning solar eye, is the destroyer/devourer aspect of the goddess.

The Seated Sekhmet Sculpture

Her name means the powerful. Goddess of the potentially destructive noonday sun, protectress of the gods, Goddess of radical and drastic healing methods. Based on the life size granite statues in the British Museum, she has the sun disc upon her headdress and holds the ankh symbol for life.

This statue is one of our exquisite and unique sensitive interpretations of some of the major Egyptian goddesses. They are finely detailed by a very talented sculptor and unlike anything else we have ever seen. Carefuly based upon exisiting paintings and wall sculptures, they are hand cast in a hard wearing material, Jesmonite, then hand finished with colored waxes. A must for the true collector.
