The Seated Sekhmet Sculpture
Her name means
the powerful
. Goddess of the potentially destructive noonday sun, protectress of the gods, Goddess of radical and drastic healing methods. Based on the life size granite statues in the British Museum, she has the sun disc upon her headdress and holds the ankh symbol for life.
This statue is one of our exquisite and unique sensitive interpretations of some of the major Egyptian goddesses. They are finely detailed by a very talented sculptor and unlike anything else we have ever seen. Carefuly based upon exisiting paintings and wall sculptures, they are hand cast in a hard wearing material, Jesmonite, then hand finished with colored waxes. A must for the true collector.
