The Kneeling Hathor Sculpture

Great sky goddess within whom the sun god Horus resides. The great celestial cow goddess who created the world and all it contains. Protectress of women, goddess of joy and love, mistress of music and dance.

Hathor kneels in a traditional pose found on wall reliefs. She wears a headdress of the sun disc and cow horns. The hieroglyth on the pedestal is her name HetHer, meaning house or mansion of Horus. She holds the ankh, symbol for life.

This statue is one of our exquisite and unique sensitive interpretations of some of the major Egyptian goddesses. They are finely detailed by a very talented sculptor and unlike anything else we have ever seen. Carefuly based upon exisiting paintings and wall sculptures, they are hand cast in a hard wearing material, Jesmonite, then hand finished with colored waxes. A must for the true collector.
